Window Fitter
Outline of the Role
Reporting to the Planned Manager, the Window Fitter Operative will deliver all works for the Capital Investment Programme to assets and estates in a Value for Money and efficient manner, providing excellent internal and external customer service in line with business objectives, budgets and growth for the successful delivery of the repairs and maintenance works. All Window Fitter Operatives have a responsibility to encourage and support learning & development opportunities for Apprentices, integrated within the work experience provided by our company. This post will enable Accord to continue and expand on its status providing customers with an excellent customer service.
Key Tasks
To work alongside all colleagues to deliver planned and improvements to properties in line with Accords Business Plan
Working to a high quality finish
Ensuring all properties meet the required standards, in an agreed time frame to maximise resident satisfaction and contribute to business performance and financial strength
Participating in new initiatives
Responding promptly to customer complaints and being proactive in dealing with service failure
Reporting to the relevant operational teams and for participating in working groups across Accord
To ensure appropriate upkeep of Accords assets, vehicles and equipment
Work within, and ensure the implementation of Accord policies and procedures
Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Customer Care.
Carry out additional duties and functions as requested.
Promotes a "one team" culture
Adhering with the Group health and safety systems and procedures and relevant health and safety legislation by following approved safe systems of working.
Ensuring that good standards of housekeeping are maintained within their area of responsibility.
Checking that any safety devices within their area of responsibility are correctly fitted, adjusted and maintained by a competent person and are in good working
Seeking advice and guidance from the Planned Works Supervisor or the Planned Manager on any matters relating to health, safety or welfare which are outside their scope of authority or expertise.
Person Specification
Substantial experience of installing PVCU windows, doors to domestic properties with particular attention to Patio & Composite Doors
The ability to install and finish to a very high standard on a continual basis is absolutely essential
Very good/fluent verbal English and written English
Excellent communication skills
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Basic IT skills
Ability to organise and plan ahead
Full clean UK Driving Licence
Basic health and safety knowledge
Experience of working within domestic properties
An understanding of Housing Associations delivery is preferable.
