An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Training Academy Manager at the Leonardo Electronic Warfare (EW) Academy, based out of Lincoln. The primary purpose of this role is to manage training resources whilst also supporting and shaping the strategic vision for the Leonardo Academy. The role is fast paced and will involve the management of Academy resources to deliver end to end EW training programmes to multiple internal and external customers.
The role will also act as delegated authority to the Head of Academy, providing support to the wider Integrated Project Team (IPT).
What you will do
The role is responsible for delivering a significant order book, including the delivery of bids, associated programme deliverables, managing costs and customer expectations. The role will also manage additional orders aligned to the overall EW Academy business case, to both UK and export customers.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
Support the delivery and continued evolution of a UK and Export EW Academy business case.
Continue to deliver a professional training organisation and culture of delivering training appropriate for the information age.
Establish the appropriate facilities and infrastructure and manage associated company funding. Manage all projects within the training portfolio to time, cost, quality and customer expectations. Produce and manage associated project reports and appropriate mobilisation and delivery plans
Support the continued design, development and delivery of a broad curriculum of training courses across the EW domain whilst also looking for opportunities to broaden the scope of training beyond the EW remit
Further develop and maintain appropriate academic links and business partnerships to enhance the EW academy portfolio
Collaboration with other functions and lines of business to exploit the EW Academy business opportunity.
Leveraging off existing contracts to identify new training opportunities within both the UK and the export market

Proven ability to lead & motivate a team across multiple locations (nationally & internationally)
Able to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to take technical detail and communicate this at different levels and across different disciplines
Experience of working with International customers, with strong cultural awareness
Experience of working with customers in the Middle East would be advantageous
Experience in managing the design and delivery of remote and virtual training solutions would be advantageous
Experience in managing the deployment of training management solutions would be advantageous
A recognised Project Management qualification
Degree in Business Management or Technical equivalent desirable
