Who are we looking for?
We have an exciting opportunity to become a Progress Coach and join a fun and creative collaborative team who work with both curriculum and support teams to make a real difference to our learners experience and journey at BSDC. Every day is different.
You will support a caseload of learners across levels and courses and act as the first point of contact for engagement and pastoral support. As a Progress Coach you will ensure that your learners are positively and effectively guided and supported to achieve at every stage of their educational journey from enrolment through to next steps and progression by delivering enriching ‘Be sessions’ and supportive one-to-one meetings where barriers to learning can be identified. Be Sessions are classroom based tutorials with a focus on life skills and progression.
You will oversee the attendance monitoring of learners and be their advocate in Curriculum meetings and through the disciplinary process. You will work with internal support systems and external organisations to get support for your learner.

Experience of working with young people in a supportive capacity is essential and you will need to be an excellent communicator. You will also have exceptional administrative and organisational skills and be a confident I.T. practitioner who is willing to embrace new learning technologies.
