Our vision is to become the best and biggest digital insurer, as we continue to grow through the power of data and digital trends were looking for a commercially minded Product Owner with a passion for agile methodology and experience of working multiple scrum projects simultaneously.
Reporting directly into our Head of Digital Service, this is a great opportunity to make a real difference digitally! Ensuring that all prioritisation, user stories and delivery of change is applied using agile methodologies working in Kanban and scrum teams.
Location is flexible, based at either our London Cannon Street office or our Bexhill Group Head office. Either way there is the opportunity to work flexibly including time working from home.
How you will make a difference:
Collaborating with other product owners and business leaders covering areas such as digital, documentation, aggregators to ensure change is appropriately communicated ahead of development
Collaborating with teams working across all areas of our product administration systems (Guidewire Claims Centre, Policy Centre and Billing Centre) to ensure changes are communicated ahead of development to ensure any impacts are considered
Building up knowledge how our core systems interact with our customer facing digital layers
Developing a good understanding of the products to ensure the product managers and business owners requirements are represented appropriately
Working with the Agile development team to ensure the team fully understands the requirements and builds a technical solution that is fit for purpose to gain the expected business benefitWhat we're looking for:
As a leading insurer, this role is critical to our digital delivery and success, it will be exciting, busy, varied and challenging so a hands-on approach is key.
You will have strong Product Owner experience, and a good understanding of Agile development methodologies, especially SCRUM within digital transformation.
You will ideally have good working knowledge of Guidewire core platforms.
We would like you to be passionate about sharing your ideas to engage and enthuse senior stakeholders on our journey, so strong communication skills is important.
