Portland College is a vibrant national college for people with a wide range of disabilities and associated learning difficulties. This role will assist with the efficient and effective assessment of student needs within a student support, information, advice and guidance framework whilst working collaboratively with College staff to provide positive outcomes for learners and support to overcome barriers.

Support learners to become better prepared for adulthood and provide impartial information, advice and guidance whilst on programme.
Take initial referrals/enquires for support from IAGT and communicate these to the appropriate IAGT member.
Support the delivery of IAGT events and workshops.
Support learners to develop employability skills by facilitating job searching and CV writing under guidance from the Transition & Outcomes Coordinator
Support learners to develop their independence via the use of appropriate applications to promote skills in health and wellbeing, travel training, money management and keeping safe.
Work with elected Portland Council representatives to complete actions outside of meetings as necessary.
Create and maintain engaging displays which celebrate learner achievements with IAGT
Share good news stories from IAGT with the College marketing team on a scheduled basis
Support learners during transition visits into and out of college.
Log attendance and monitor the evaluation of IAGT workshops and events
Maintain and work to the Matrix Standards
Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.
