We are an innovative, patient centric community dermatology service. Dermatology has become a Cinderella service of the NHS, hidden away behind the giants of cardiac and oncology care, with minimal or no dermatology training for GPs. Circle are changing that and putting dermatology back on the map. We are creating a service using face to face and virtual consultations, care so close to the patients home that we are now able to consult direct in their own homes. The service provides access to DMARD and high cost drugs, and a specialist Biologics clinic. A game changer for patients, we are proudly providing evening and weekend appointments to enable patient care to have less of an impact on patient’s working life.
Circle Dermatology aims to diagnose, put in place a treatment plan and where possible discharge back to patent’s GP with specialist assistance on disease management.
We have developed on line consultation templates which capture PROMS, drugs prescribed, and disease improvement or deterioration for drug management and advancement. Excitingly these templates create documentation which is auditable at each stage of the way and allow both reporting back to commissioners for service development but also patient disease reporting.
We are looking to appoint more nursing staff to work on chronic inflammatory clinics and to work with our community nursing colleagues and local pharmacists to create a bank of specialist knowledge in the community.
