We’re looking for a proactive Category Sales Manager to join our busy Building Services team in Northampton to specialise in air conditioning and refrigeration products.
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday either 8am – 5pm or 7:30am – 4:30pm.
About the role
Servicing contract customers and building business relationships with local contractors
Managing stock profiles and product range within air conditioning and refrigeration products
Developing new business opportunities and opportunities for growing customer base
Managing customer enquiries and building relationships with customers on trade counter
Working within our Sales Office processing sales orders, quotations and raising purchase orders
Meeting with suppliers for air conditioning and refrigeration products
This is an office-based role, that will require providing a hands-on approach to support wider branch operations.
Any experience or knowledge within air conditioning and refrigeration products will be essential for this role to develop business opportunities and customer accounts. If you have gained knowledge in air conditioning but not refrigeration, then please do get in touch as there will be technical support available.
Should you have the product knowledge in air conditioning, previous sales experience is not essential as we can offer training providing you are able to confidently communicate with customers on technical information. We therefore welcome applications from individuals with a background in engineering within air conditioning that are happy progressing their experience within an office-based position.

Excellent communication skills will also be essential to building relationships with our customers.
