As a Corporate Business Development Manager at SUEZ, recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be working in a national sales role contributing to an ever growing recycling and recovery company, that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.
What will I be doing as a Corporate Business Development Manager?
We know we have great services and innovative solutions to offer and we want you to introduce them to new strategic clients. Working nationally accross the UK, you will be a key member of the Connect business unit, responsible for driving growth with large, complex, corporate clients that require innovative waste management solutions . In practice, that means identifying development opportunities and making sure SUEZ, recycling and recovery UK is invited to bid for strategically important contracts. You’ll be developing tailored tender responses and giving client presentations that will result in new additions to the Connect portfolio. When a new customer agrees to join us, you’ll be our ‘central bid manager’, negotiating and configuring a contract solution. You’ll then ensure the new business is implemented smoothly and provide an excellent customer experience throughout. Additionally you will be expected to understand SUEZ recycling and recovery UK’s position in the marketplace and how we compare to peer organisations In short, you’ll be in charge of refining your Connect sales proposition, building our profile within the marketplace and developing a market position for our brand.
What are the requirements? (experience and qualifications)
Commercially sharp and financially aware, you’ll have a track record of winning and developing large corporate / institution procurement processes within a service industry. You’ve worked in a senior sales role before and know how to deliver high service levels, create a great customer experience and manage expectations, all whilst maximising profits. As you’d expect, strong communication skills are needed.
You will preferably have sound knowledge of the UK waste and resource management industry, but it is not essential, as industry training can be given. However, strong sales experience and previous success is a must have.
