Senior Building Surveyor
Full Time | Remote with Travel | Competitive Salary + Benefits

We are working in close partnership with a highly respected and growing consultancy to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor for their Major Loss team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced surveyor looking to step into a dynamic, client-facing role within a well-established firm that delivers high-quality insurance and property consultancy services.

The Role
In this varied and busy role, you will support the surveying team across a wide range of projects, with a focus on commercial insurance claims involving buildings of all types and construction methods. You’ll take ownership of large-value projects and deliver professional consultancy services while demonstrating a strong commitment to client care and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections and provide expert advice on design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of various building types.

*

Undertake acquisition surveys, condition reports, defect investigations, and measured surveys.

*

Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and schedules of work.

*

Design and manage building works using recognised contracts and technical standards.

*

Lead major loss projects independently, applying relevant legislation (Health & Safety, Party Wall, Building Regulations, Planning).

*

Mentor and support APC candidates within the team.

*

Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety regulations.

About You:

*

MRICS qualified.

*

Proven experience in consulting engineering, surveying, architecture, and planning practices.

*

Skilled in defect diagnosis, report writing, and insurance repair projects.

*

Strong leadership and negotiation capabilities.

*

In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, Party Wall and Building Regulations.

*

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.

*
