Senior Finance Business Partner

A Local Authority in East London who are looking to appoint a talented Senior Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis, are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find a successful candidate.

What's on offer:

Rates: £420 - £550 per day, inside IR35.*Negotiable based on experience

Hybrid Working 2/3 days in office per week.
Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
Hours: 09:00 -17:00

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to act as Senior Finance Business Partner for a portfolio of services within the Council, providing financial advice, guidance and support to Strategic Directors, Directors, Heads of Service and other Managers.

Responsibilities:

Based in East London (Hybrid):

To lead and manage the business partnering team for a defined set of Council services providing full financial support including (but not limited to):

Budget monitoring and forecasting
Technical finance advice on specialist areas (e.g. Schools, Capital, Grants, HRA).
Provision of accurate and timely reports on relevant financial issues and performance.
Providing data analysis and options appraisal to enable financially sound and informed decision making.
Budget setting and financial planning.
Year-end processes including providing specified notes to the accounts and audit evidence.About you:
You will have the following experience:

CCAB qualification or equivalent
Experience of working in local government finance, Demonstrable thorough knowledge and experience of closure of accounts, budget planning.
