Job: Contract Aerospace Software Technical Writer - DO-178C
Rate: Up to £65 per hour (Outside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite in Manchester
Contract Length: 6 months (initially)

KO2 is hiring a Aerospace Software Technical Writer for a leading aerospace client developing embedded software for a major aircraft project. The role involves producing high-quality documentation to meet DO-178C standards.

The Role: You'll take ownership of all technical documentation required for a critical aerospace software project. Documents include:

Software Development Plan
Verification Plans & Reports
Configuration Management Plans
Certification & QA DocumentationSkills & Experience required:

Experience as a Technical Writer or Software Engineer with strong documentation skills
Aerospace software project experience
Solid understanding of DO-178B or DO-178C
Ideally, experience transitioning from embedded software engineering to technical writing
